About the Department

The department of Mechanical Engineering, was established in the year 2002 with an intake of 60 students per year for the four year B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) program and 2nd Shift UG Started in 2011 with an intake of 60 students per year. PG program M.Tech. in Thermal Engineering was started in our department of this college in the year 2014 with an intake of 18 students per year and the department also runs Ph.D. program. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced in various fields of Mechanical Engineering. The faculty is dedicated to engineering education in order to provide students with diverse and effective learning atmosphere to support, excel in today’s competitive environment Mechanical Engineering department is well equipped with basic amenities and always consistent in developing and making students familiar with new technological advancements on different industry-oriented and science-based educational modules such as 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Mechatronics,AR/VR Lab and In-house Training on designing software, assembling and dismantling of automobiles etc. The essential focal point of these modules is to develop the critical thinking, logical abilities so as to develop new innovations and promote application-based learning.
