The Computer Applications Department is committed to continuously improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of student and staff members.The department of Computer Applications with highly qualified staff is well equipped with centralized laboratories having the latest configurations and software tools. The department presents a unique opportunity to study the exciting field with guidance of quality teachers, with fully furnished Computer Lab facility. Department is offering courses like Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) with 120 students intake affiliated by BTU, Bikaner, Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.)with 120 students intake, M.Sc.(C.S.) with 20 students intakeaffiliated by MGSU, Bikaner.

To become a Centre of excellence producing highly committed and skilled computer engineers.Over the years, the department has established well-equipped laboratory with internet facility and excellent library. It offers an excellent academic environment to boost complete personality development, increase the capabilities and confidence of both the teachers and students to take up the challenges of the dynamic socio-technical world. The department has organized Seminar series, Workshops and Skill Enhancement Programswith the help of National / International fame eminent personalities from industry, academia and from Professional bodies. The dept. has organized various workshops to upgrade the technical and teaching skills of the staff. The dept. encourages participating in National/International conferences to present papers and learning upcoming knowledge. The dept. has published research papers more than 100 in number including IEEE publications in various Journals and National/International conferences. To support creativity amongst the students it brought forth the departmental Tech. Fest and organized an event "Aaroh, and Saksham" College level Cultural and Technical Events, to showcase the hidden artistic talents.

Engineering College Bikaner, has understood the importance of infrastructure to industries such as IT and focused on IT oriented courses both at the under graduate and post Graduate level. Its focal point is to provide students qualitatively superior higher-end IT education keeping in view the changing Technology and Industry demand the in-house core department at ECB maintains interaction with Industry experts & academician. The students at ECB are increasingly proving their worth as shown by very impressive figures of their placements in the industry overall. They are able to co-related their career with digital economy Due to dynamic nature of Computer Industry; languages, packages, operating systems, networking principles, software, hardware etc. are always changing, and keeping this in mind efforts are being made to teach the students at least one new technology (not prescribed in their course) every semester. In its quest to provide the students with best facilities to grow and develop themselves, the college in spite of its 400+ computers with round the clock high speed internet connectivity.
